Uninstall

Removing aituner leaves your downloaded models where they are, unless you delete them too.

Before you start

If you applied a tuning change and chose to keep it across restarts, revert it on the Tune page first. Quit aituner (menu bar icon, Quit).

Installed with Homebrew

brew uninstall --cask --zap aituner

--zap also removes aituner's app data, preferences, web storage, editor launchers and settings, and its launch agents. It does not touch your models, reports or knowledge base folders.

Installed from the disk image or source

  1. Move /Applications/aituner.app to the Trash.
  2. Delete ~/Library/Application Support/aituner (history, settings, logs and the MLX environment).
  3. Optionally delete the editor launchers in ~/.local/bin (aituner-claude, aituner-code, aituner-nvim, aituner-vim, aituner-tmux, aituner-chat) and ~/.config/aituner.

Models

Downloaded models stay in your models folder (~/Models by default). Clear them first in Storage if you want aituner to remove only the ones it downloaded, or delete the folders yourself.
